Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on and mission-driven Tech Product Manager to lead the development and optimisation of our digital platforms. You’ll oversee the Safecity app and website, manage vendor relationships, and drive feature development in line with community needs and user

Key Responsibilities

Scope of Work and Deliverables
Under the supervision of the ICJ Africa team, the consultant will carry out the following duties:
1. Facilitate structured stakeholders’ engagement meetings to identify and receive feedback on the relevant issues for inclusion in the country Guide.
2. Conduct a validation meeting with stakeholders on the draft report.
3. Engage litigants, lawyers, members of the bench and other court users, organisations of persons with disabilities, women and girls with disabilities and other stakeholders (in Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu) to establish lived experiences in interactions with the justice system.
4. Develop an accessible country Guide on discrimination and stereotyping for women and girls with disabilities in the justice system in Kenya.
5. The consultant will provide concise content that covers the following areas:- • International and regional framework governing gender and disability stereotypes in accessing justice.
- • Legislative and policy framework in Kenya including but not limited to civil and criminal justice, laws on disability, women and girls and to what extent (if at all) they embody gender and disability discrimination and harmful gender and disability stereotypes.
- • Succinct analysis of the emerging jurisprudence and practice in the prosecution of cases involving women and girls with disabilities.
- • Manifestations of gender and disability stereotyping and assumptions in the Court processes.
- • Document good practices, and specific practical recommendations to overcoming harmful gender and disability stereotypes in Kenya’s laws and practice.
Required Qualifications & Experience
1. The consultant must be well conversant with the civil and criminal justice system and actors in Kenya and the applicable laws.
2. Minimum five years’ experience in human rights including disability rights
3. The consultant has an in-depth understanding and experience of intersectionality between gender and disability
4. The consultant has a Bachelor’s degree in either law, human rights, political science, social sciences, or other relevant degree
5. Excellent analytical and writing skills in the English language
6. Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills

Description of Responsibilities/ Scope of Work:
This consultancy is under the framework of the “Dare to Care” regional programme. The consultant will work in close collaboration and under the direct supervision of UN Women’s “Dare to Care” Regional Programme Manager, and in close cooperation with the “Dare to Care” Regional Programme Analyst and other “Dare to Care” team members of UN Women Country Offices.
All deliverables will be reviewed and cleared by UN Women before the payments are approved by the Regional Programme Manager.
Further, the consultant will be required to work in a very collaborative and consultative way with UN Women “Dare to Care” Country Office teams and other relevant stakeholders from the Arab region, as needed.
The consultant will provide substantive technical support to carry out the following functions:- Conduct a thorough literature review on Islamic perspectives and jurisprudence related to the care economy, with a focus on the Arab region;
- Engage with key stakeholders, including religious scholars, feminist economists, and policy-makers, to gather insights and perspectives;
- Analyze the collected data and literature to produce a comprehensive policy brief;
- Provide policy recommendations that are informed by the feminist analysis of Islamic perspectives on the care economy.
Required Qualifications:- Advanced degree (PHD) in women’s/gender studies is desirable OR
- A Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines Economics, Gender/Women’s Studies, Islamic studies, Social Sciences, Social Anthropology, Philosophy or a related field is required OR

A unique funded opportunity to be part of a network of leading displacement scholars and to contribute to building the global evidence-base for preventing and responding to violence against women and girls.
A scholarship is available at ANU for an outstanding domestic or international student to undertake a PhD on the topic of violence against women and displacement in the Pacific. The successful candidate will be enrolled full-time in a program of study for the degree of PhD in the ANU Department of International Relations, Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, College of Asia and the Pacific. The student will also become part of a cohort of PhD scholars within the Australian Research Council’s Centre of Excellence for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (CEVAW)
This Centre aims to transform our understanding of the problem by examining the structural drivers that cause and compound violence against women, and pioneering new, evidence-based approaches to radically improve policy and practice across Australia and the Indo-Pacific. The CEVAW network comprises 13 Chief Investigators from six Australian universities, and at least 45 Australian and international partner organisations. The Centre mobilises Indigenous and survivor-centred approaches, interdisciplinary collaborations, and Indo-Pacific partnerships to deliver scalable approaches to eliminate violence against women across the legal, security, economic, health, and political systems of Australia and the region.
Working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across the Pacific regions, Asia and in Australia, this funded PhD position is supported through the Australian Research Council (ARC) CEVAW and the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs, as part of the research stream on violence in the context of Migration and Trafficking – led by Chief Investigator Professor Bina D'Costa.
The successful applicant will develop and carry out a project that aligns with the broader purpose of CEVAW, to develop the academic evidence base on violence against women in displacement and emergency contexts in the Pacific. This project may include research on prevention of conflict-related sexual and gender-based violence or violence against women in the context of natural and climate-induced disasters, or other emergencies in the Pacific.
Eligibility
The Award will be available in 2025 or 2026 to a prospective, domestic or international student who:- has expertise or a demonstrated interest in the elimination of violence against women in migration and trafficking situations
- has completed an Australian University Masters degree with honours (at the level honours 2A or above), or equivalent prior studies in Australia or elsewhere (for example a Bachelor degree with First Class Honours or equivalent; and Master’s degree with a significant research thesis component), and/or has relevant experience that includes a significant research component in the field of women’s public health and/or migration and trafficking.

Project Overview
To support policy, advocacy, and service provision, IPPF EN seeks a consultant (natural persons or juridical entities) to develop an interactive, cloud-based dashboard to compare and visualise abortion-related legislation, policy, and practice data across 33 countries in the region. The dashboard should be user-friendly, secure, and scalable to accommodate future enhancements. This ToR defines the scope for Phase 1 of a multi-year project.
Project Goal
Cloud based Abortion Legislation, Policy and Practice Dashboard that will allow secure access to structured data on abortion policy, legislation, and practices for thirty-three countries. The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) will support basic comparison functionality and be designed to allow for future feature expansion.
CONSULTANCY REQUIREMENTS
• Professional experience at the level of bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (for individuals or the lead technical personnel proposed by a company).

THE OPPORTUNITY

En tant qu’investigatrice principale du projet FNS Ambizione « Russian and Ukrainian political elites’ instrumentalisation of gender for system legitimacy: frames, policies, feminist civil society » je cherche un·e assistant·e étudiant·e motivé·e et indépendent·e.
Le projet examine les raisons et les modalités de l’instrumentalisation du genre par les élites politiques russes et ukrainiennes pour légitimer leur système politique auprès de leurs alliés et les effets que cela a sur la société civile féministe.
Tes tâches
⎯ Recherche et collecte systématique de sources primaires (discours, chaînes Telegram) sur Internet
⎯ Organisation et classement structuré et préparation des données pour l'analyse aussi bien avec les Large Language Models (LLMs) qu'avec le logiciel qualitatif (MaxQDA)
⎯ Soutien logistique pour la préparation et la réalisation d'événements scientifiques (par exemple, des ateliers) et mise à jour des bases de données
Tes qualifications
⎯ Bachelor en sciences sociales ou humaines achevé
⎯ Inscription en Master dans une université suisse au moment de l’engagement
⎯ Maîtrise avancée de l’ukrainien et/ou du russe
⎯ Expérience ou intérêt pour les sciences sociales computationnelles, les modèles de langage souhaités, le codage manuel pour des analyse qualitatives
⎯ Pour des raisons légales, priorité sera donnée aux étudiant·e·s de l’Université de Fribourg

Im Rahmen meines SNF Ambizione Projekt “Russian and Ukrainian political elites’ instrumentalisation of gender for system legitimacy: frames, policies, feminist civil society” suche ich eine engagierte, unabhängige studentische Hilfskraft. Die Stelle ist vorerst befristet, kann aber verlängert werden.
Konkret untersucht das Projekt, warum, wie und mit welchen Auswirkungen für die feministische Zivilgesellschaft russische und ukrainische politische Eliten Gender instrumentalisieren, um ihr jeweiliges politisches System gegenüber Verbündeten zu legitimieren.
Deine Aufgaben
⎯ Recherche und systematische Sammlung von Primärquellen (z.B. Reden, Telegram-Kanäle) im Internet
⎯ Strukturierte Ablage und Aufbereitung der Daten für die Analyse sowohl mit Large Language Models (LLMs) wie auch mit der qualitativen Software (MaxQDA)
⎯ Logistische Unterstützung bei der Vorbereitung und Durchführung von wissenschaftlichen Veranstaltungen (z.B. Workshops) und Aktualisieren von Datenbanken
Deine Voraussetzungen
⎯ Abgeschlossenes Bachelor-Studium in Sozial- oder Geisteswissenschaften
⎯ Eingeschrieben in einem Master-Studium an einer Schweizer Hochschule zum Zeitpunkt der
Anstellung
⎯ Fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in Ukrainisch und/oder Russisch
⎯ Erfahrung und/oder Interesse an Computational Social Sciences, Large Language Models, qualitativem Codieren von Vorteil
