Gender equality and Social inclusion (GESI)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical support for gender analyses, development of gender-responsive logic models, and integration of gender-transformative indicators into program design and evaluation.
- Build capacity through the design and delivery of gender training modules, coaching, and mentoring for diverse stakeholders (e.g., local partners, field staff, and senior leadership).
- Lead the implementation of context-specific gender equality strategies, tools, and frameworks, including those that promote gender justice, engage men and boys, prevent gender-based violence, and support adolescent SRHR.
- Support project start-up and implementation, including field visits (to Bangladesh and other regions that World Renew works) to provide coaching, mentoring, and capacity building for staff and partners.
- Represent World Renew in external forums, coalitions, and working groups focused on gender justice. Contribute to advocacy and public engagement, including developing and curating relevant knowledge products.
- Review grants and proposals to ensure strong integration of gender equality components.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated expertise in gender-transformative programming, including the design, implementation, and evaluation of strategies that address gender inequality, harmful norms, and SRHR, particularly in low-resource or humanitarian settings.
- Proven experience with Global Affairs Canada -funded projects or similar bilateral or multilateral donors, including familiarity with Feminist International Assistance Policy, Results Based Management frameworks, and gender equality requirements.
- Technical skills in gender-responsive MEAL systems, including indicator development, data disaggregation, and analysis.
- Strong capacity-building skills, including the design and delivery of gender training modules, coaching, and mentoring for diverse stakeholders (e.g., local partners, field staff, and senior leadership).
- Knowledge of safeguarding, Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA), and GBV prevention, with the ability to integrate these principles into programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality technical documents, donor reports, and learning materials.
- Cross-cultural competency and collaborative leadership, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams across geographic regions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, International Development, Social Sciences, or related discipline with strong gender equality focus (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in gender mainstreaming within international development programs, including field-based technical advisory roles.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Additional languages are an asset.
