We’re looking for a communications professional to help lead Equimundo’s digital and external communications and coordinate our organizational communications strategy.

Reporting to the Chief Advocacy and Culture Change Officer, the Senior Communications Officer will oversee content across social media, email, Substack, and the website; support media relations, report launches, and external events; manage communications vendors; and supervise the Senior Communications Associate and Multimedia Communications Associate. The role will work closely with teams across Research, Programs, Advocacy, the Office of the CEO, and Business Development. 

We’re looking for someone with management experience, strong writing and editing skills, experience in media outreach, and an interest in gender equality, social justice, men and boys, and healthy masculinity. 

Desired Qualifications
● Undergraduate degree (concentration in communications, graphic design, journalism, or related field preferred) or equivalent work experience of 3 years in a professional setting. 
● Passion for Equimundo’s mission and social justice; Affinity and experience in gender equality, social justice and/or work with men and boys, and healthy masculinity 
● Capture Equimundo’s institutional voice and create communications assets for our audience. 
● Foster a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation across the organization 
● Advise leadership on communication trends, issues, and strategies 
● Oversee the development and maintenance of Equimundo’s brand identity and messaging 
● Strong writing and editing skills 
● Experience in media outreach 
● Creativity
