Role
The Center on Gender Equity and Health is leading a multi-country initiative based on segmentation on informed design to facilitate the development and execution of a male engagement program in family planning in Senegal. As part of this initiative, GEH is seeking a consultant based in Senegal to establish and sustain country-level relatonships and contextual knowledge throughout the phases of intervention on design and data transition on alongside local partners.

This country-based consultant will serve as GEH’s principal in-country representative throughout the pre implementation on phase. The consultant will facilitate stakeholder engagement, partner onboarding, and the co-creation on process, contribute technically to improving the overall design concepts, and serve as a conduit between GEH leadership, the eventual implementing partner, and key government, health system, and community stakeholders.

The consultant will report directly to GEH's Senegal team lead, and all activities within the country will be discussed and aligned with partners prior to execution. The consultant will maintain close coordination with the designated implementing partner and relevant technical staff from GEH throughout the engagement.

Qualifications
• Master’s or equivalent advanced degree in public health, social sciences, anthropology, or a related field, with a strong mixed-methods background. 
• Minimum 10 years of experience, including significant leadership in family planning and sexual and reproductive health interventions; ideally with experience in gender programming and male engagement. 
• Oral fluency in French and competency in English. 
• Established relationships with government counterparts and/or health system actors in Senegal.
• Experience facilitating multi-stakeholder engagement processes, workshops, or co-creation on sessions. 
• Experience implementing and interpreting key informant interviews. 
• Familiarity with behavior change, demand-side health programming, or segmentation-informed design is an asset. 
• Excellent communication and writing skills, including experience with donor reports in French and English. 
• Collaborative and adaptive approach, with experience working with international teams and across sectors. 
• Based in Senegal with willingness to travel within the country for stakeholder engagement, as needed.
