Purpose
Rise Up Together seeks a consultant (individual or small team) based in India to adapt its existing advocacy and leadership curriculum to integrate climate using a just transition framework with a community-centered approach.

This work will focus on ensuring the curriculum is contextually relevant to India and strengthens RUT’s intersectoral approach by centering the leadership and lived experiences of women, girls, and gender-diverse
people.
 
Scope of Work
The selected consultant will:
• Review and adapt RUT’s existing hybrid curriculum (four virtual sessions and a 6-day in-person Accelerator)
• Integrate climate across modules while maintaining alignment with existing areas of individual and collaborative leadership development, communication, and systems change strategy development.
• Integrate climate and gender justice perspectives across existing leadership and advocacy framework, ensuring that participants are equipped to analyze climate issues, develop community-centered strategies, and engage effectively with climate governance and decision-making processes.
• Contextualize content for India’s policy, legal, and political landscape
• Develop at least two anchor case study from India to be used throughout the training
• Curate and/or develop tools, frameworks, and resources (videos, articles, handouts) to support policy
change strategy development in Hindi, Marathi, and English
• Provide recommendations for facilitation and curriculum delivery within a hybrid model
• Collaborate with RUT staff through iterative feedback processes
Deliverables
• Adapted curriculum modules integrating climate, community-centered approaches, and key just transition
principles relevant to the Indian context.
• Facilitator session guides and materials (PPTs, worksheets, handouts for hybrid delivery)
• Comprehensive India-based systems change case study highlighting successful community centered
climate work with a strong gender lens to use as an example throughout the leadership training
• Resource package (videos, frameworks, key readings)
• Summary memo with recommendation

Qualifications
• A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience in climate justice, gender equity, and/or intersectional
system change or decision maker education processes
• Experience designing or adapting curricula for a broad diversity of adult learners
• Strong knowledge of India’s policy and systems change context
• Familiarity with just transition approaches that center local knowledge for climate change advocacy
• Experience working with diverse, global, or grassroots partners
• High degree of initiative and ability to work independently while maintaining regular
communication with a remote team
• Availability for video calls for curriculum adaptation and session planning with remote team working in 
Pacific Time (PST)
• Proficientin MS Office, PowerPoint/Canva, Zoom, and Google Classroom
