Key Duties and Responsibilities
1.    Draft and/or provide technical input into the development, peer review and editing of policy briefs, working papers, reports, publications and other knowledge products and contribute to their dissemination. Provide evidence-based technical content for social media, digital and other knowledge-sharing tools and platforms, with a view to reaching broad and diverse audiences.
2.    Provide inputs to the development of training materials and tools relating to gender equality and non-discrimination.
3.    Provide technical support to the implementation of development cooperation projects aimed at operationalizing the theory of change for a gender equality transformative agenda.
4.    Liaise with and provide support to other teams within GEDI to foster an integrated and intersectional approach to gender equality, ensuring collaboration with other teams within WORKQUALITY and other ILO Departments.
5.    Liaise with colleagues within the Branch and in ILO fields offices in the provision of technical assistance to ILO constituents on a wide range of gender equality and non-discrimination related topics with attention to the care economy, violence and harassment at work, pay equity, digital and just transitions, conflict and fragility and other emerging issues. 
6.    Provide technical support to GEDI and the ILO regional and country offices in terms of monitoring, implementation and reporting under Outcome 5 of the Programme & Budget, including by mapping and reviewing all CPOs and GLOs under Outcome 5
7.    Enhance knowledge management and sharing, including through mapping exercises and collection and storage of information using new technologies.
8.    Participate in the organization of global and regional events, training sessions, workshops and meetings
9.    Assist in coordinating the monitoring and implementation of the ILO Gender Equality Action Plan
10.    Assist in coordinating the ILO Global Gender Network, including through providing technical support to the network in its role in advancing gender equality and effective gender mainstreaming throughout the ILO. 
11.    Participate in UN inter-agency networks and working groups, consultations and forums to engage with potential and existing partners to explain and promote ILO’s transformative agenda for gender equality in the world of work. 
12.    Provide support in coordinating and delivering work relating to ILO quality control mechanisms such as appraisals of Decent Work Country Programmes and development cooperation projects. 
13.    Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Required qualifications
Advanced level university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in economics, law, social and political science, anthropology, human rights, gender, or development studies or other relevant field.A first-level university degree 
(Bachelor’s or equivalent) in one of the afore-mentioned field(s) or other relevant field with an additional two years of relevant experience, in addition to the experience stated below, will be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
At least five years of relevant experience in gender equality, non-discrimination, women’s rights and empowerment.
Excellent command of one official language (English, French, Spanish) of the Organization and a working knowledge of a second official language of the Organization.
