Who we are looking for:
Two (2) young women aged 18 to 30 who are dynamic and engaging facilitators, and
passionate about making sure services are designed with and for young women so
that they can thrive at work.
We’re particularly interested in those who have recent experience of one or more of
the following – unemployment, barriers accessing work, living on low pay,
discrimination at work, lack of progression at work and/or other issues such as
unaffordable childcare, caring responsibilities, inflexible work etc.
YWT is a trans inclusive charity and welcome applications from anyone who has
experienced misogyny and sexism and feels comfortable relating to young women
about their lived experiences, including trans women and people of minoritised gender
identities.
About the service design project:
This project will run from August 2023 to March 2024. During this time, we will test
three (3) x ‘Share Squares’ (working title for the concept) aiming to support a total of
75 young women across England and Wales. You will be involved in all stages of the
project, from designing and facilitating events with young women, to gathering
learning and recommending adaptations to the concept.
The concept is a series of four online workshops for young women to connect around
a work-related theme, hear from experts who have knowledge on the theme and
discuss, share and learn together. They’ll also be a shared digital space where
conversations and connections can continue outside of the online workshops.

About the role:
You will be involved in designing, facilitating and evaluating each ‘Share Square’. You
will also be members of the core project team with YWT and Shift Design to play a
vital role in co-producing this work with us.
All activities will take place online and include:
● Onboarding; to learn about the project and role.
● Co-designing and facilitating online workshops; to create a comfortable and
safe online space.
● Supporting participants during online workshops; to encourage a culture of
shared learning, inclusiveness, and mutual support.
● Supporting and encouraging participants in between workshops through a
digital platform and promoting additional opportunities to participants outside of
the workshops.
● Reflecting, evaluating and recommending improvements to the concept.
● Running learning and playback workshops (alongside YWT and Shift) to project
stakeholders.
● Attending and participating in fortnightly online core project team meetings and
workshop design and evaluation sessions.

Skills and experience required:
● Experience and ability to design and deliver safe online spaces (e.g. Zoom,
WhatsApp) and be flexible and comfortable with adapting workshops to suit the
group’s needs.
● Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to
relate positively with a wide range of young women.
● Ability to confidently facilitate group discussions while keeping participants
engaged, inspired and on track.
● Ability to organise time and work collaboratively in a team.
● An interest in designing and developing services to better meet the needs of
young women.
