Redefining Conflict prevention and Peacebuilding:

Empowering CSOs for Sustainable Peace in Sri Lanka and the Maldives
The project aims to foster a more peaceful and resilient environment in Sri Lanka and the Maldives by addressing the root causes of conflict and empowering local communities. Specifically, it focuses on strengthening the capacity of youth and women-led CSOs, peacebuilders, and multi-actor networks to
address conflict drivers related to the environment, climate change, and natural resources. Key activities include capacity building, community-based dialogues, conflict resolution strategy development, crisis preparedness, multi-actor network development, and advocacy for policy change.
By prioritizing a woman and youth-centric, CSO-led, and nature-based solution approach, the project seeks to create a more inclusive and sustainable peacebuilding process. The project is implemented in selected districts and islands in both countries, targeting areas vulnerable to conflict and environmental challenges. Ultimately, the project aims to achieve strengthened capacities, increased awareness, effective conflict resolution, enhanced crisis preparedness, strengthened networks, and
promotion of inclusive and equitable peacebuilding processes. The project is implemented in the Districts of Mannar, Anuradhapura, Puttalam and Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka and Kulhudhuffushi City, K. Guraidhoo, Laamu Hithadhoo and N. Kudafari islands in the Maldives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure Gender Equality (GE) and Gender Transformative Approaches (GTA) are incorporated in project planning, implementation, and M&E functions.
• Provide guidance and technical support for the project team.
• Responsible for overall management of M&E and Knowledge Management Strategy.
• Responsible for design, develop, and operationalise the M&E system.
• Responsible for reporting, information sharing, and dissemination.
• Facilitating knowledge sharing/management and impact measurement efforts for Chrysalis.

Qualifications
• University Degree in the relevant field.
• Minimum eight years of work experience in monitoring and Evaluation.
• Experience in people management / in working with projects funded by multiple donors / in working with government and other key stakeholders / in working with local partners.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills, including the ability to present complexissues clearly and concisely.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal) essential and fluency in at least one of the local languages/
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, relationship-building and communication skills.
• Proven initiative, flexibility and ability to prioritize in a demanding environment and under tight deadlines.
• A strong commitment to Chrysalis’ core values.
