This volunteer opportunity is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in campaign planning and execution while engaging in feminist activism with a passionate network of volunteers. You will be contributing to our mission of promoting women’s and human rights and working together with a diverse group of intersectional feminist activists.
This role provides an excellent chance to gain professional experience, build your CV, and network within the field of social justice. You will have the opportunity to bring your own ideas to the table in a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment. Our group of activists works and learns together, fostering a supportive atmosphere for personal and professional growth.
Who We're Looking For:
- Strong organisational and project management skills to help coordinate campaigns effectively.
- Passion for feminist issues, gender equality, and human rights.
- Creative thinking skills to develop innovative campaign strategies and outreach ideas.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey messages clearly and persuasively.
- Enthusiasm for engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders to foster collaboration.
- Commitment to meet bi-weekly online and in-person approximately every 2 months in London (travel costs reimbursed).
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of strategies for the existing Amnesty Feminist abortion rights campaign: "My Body My Choice."
- Conduct research to support campaign objectives and identify effective advocacy strategies.
- Collaborate with the social media and communication teams to create impactful messaging and materials for each campaign.
- Collaborate with the research team to incorporate data and evidence-based insights into campaign messaging and strategies.
- Coordinate events and activities (such as webinars or publicity stunts) related to ongoing campaigns, ensuring timely and relevant outreach and community engagement.
- Develop partnerships with other organisations, community groups, and activists to strengthen campaign reach and impact.
- Support the wider team on an ad-hoc basis. E.g Working with other team members to support their activities at busier times, as per agreed with all parties.
