Project details: In light of the 25th anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325, the aim of this project is to leverage insights from women on the frontlines of conflict and peacebuilding to assess, reflect on, and provide direction for the next era of WPS. To this end, a global online survey will be fielded among women working to achieve peace, with a specific focus on countries included in the WPS Conflict Tracker.

 Job requirements: Candidates should have excellent research skills with specific expertise in survey methods and quantitative data analysis and a background or demonstrated understanding of women’s experiences in conflict-affected and fragile contexts. Previous experience conducting gender-focused research in any of the target countries is highly valued. Proficiency in Spanish, French, Arabic, or Ukrainian is also a plus. *Note: this project will not include travel to survey sites or enumeration of the survey.*

 Tasks & responsibilities: 
● Collaborate on survey design, including; 
○ Supporting the selection of questions and key themes 
○ Providing input and feedback on wording of questions ○ Advising on survey structure, question order, branches, question types etc. ○ Ensuring the survey abides by “Do No Harm” principles 
● Statistical analysis of survey responses following data collection
● Thematic analysis of open-ended questions 
● Guidance on approach to fielding the survey where relevant Timeline Support for this project will vary in cadence, with two predicted periods of substantial contributions.

Phase 1- Survey Design: Mid-November through December 2024
This is expected to be the most intensive period of work for the consultant. This phase will include finalizing the survey design and piloting the survey. 
Phase 2- Fielding the Survey: January through March 2025This phase is expected to require minimal contributions from the consultant. Minor questions may be asked regarding specific issues or snags as the survey is fielded. Phase 3- Data Analysis: March through June 2025
This phase will require significant input from the consultant. As survey results are gathered, substantial support will be expected for quantitative data analysis and writing up findings.
