TGEU is the largest member-based non-profit focused on the rights and wellbeing of trans people in Europe and Central Asia, representing 200 member organisations in 48 countries.
We are seeking someone who has an eye for design and who is committed to TGEU’s vision of a world free from discrimination where gender diversity is celebrated, where trans people are valued, and where trans movements are self-aware, intersectional, and evolving to meet the needs of a diverse and resilient community.
Job description
We want to outsource design production and occasional art direction tasks to skilled and creatively thinking designers to help us maintain relationships with current stakeholders and reach new audiences. We are looking for people to cover the following design expertise areas/work packages:
Publications & infographics
- Publications for digital distribution and print (see previous examples)
- Accessible Infographics and data visualisation, digital, and print
Brand design
- Brand guidelines development
- Accessibility design features
- Social Media templates and posts (IG, YT, Twitter, Linkedin)
- Shareable graphic assets for community-driven awareness campaigns
- Templates for decks, internal documentation, reports, and checklists with a focus on dynamic and adaptable templates
Multimedia
- Video production for Instagram and Youtube
- Design assets for webinars and online events
- Interactive surveys design
Who we are looking for
We are looking for skilled designers with the following qualifications. If you do not have expertise in all of the areas we need, though, please still feel free to apply, noting the areas that you are skilled in.
- 3+ years of professional experience
- Strong communication skills: ability to own a design project from briefing to implementation
- Empathetic and systematic approach to design and communications
- Understanding the role of design thinking in communications
- Exceptional ability in typography, layout for print in digital
- Strong experience in accessibility
- Experience in multilingual design production (EN + RU are the main languages for our communications, and a lot of projects are in up to 5 additional European languages)
- Strong creative vision with attention to communication objectives
- Solid knowledge of print, web, video production
- Proficiency with design software, ability to shoot/edit short form, simple videos (for multimedia designer)
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with working in agencies, digital media, startups, non-profit organisations as a plus
- Based in EU
