Overall objective:
The study will show casethe impact of Mama Cash’swork over the last fortyyears. Impact is defined as the extent to which Mama Cash's support of feminist activism over the past forty years has contributed to significant societal change driven by feminist actors.
➔ The primary focus of the impact narrative will be the tangible societal changes achieved by feminist actors, with Mama Cash's support playing a crucial role in enabling and amplifying these transformations.
➔ A secondary lens of impact will highlight how, through Mama Cash's unique and specific forms of support, feminist movements have grown stronger and more coordinated, providing a foundation for sustained progress.
Specific objectives:
a) Demonstrate the role of Mama Cash in developments and successes of the feminist movement over the past forty years through stories, data, and compelling evidence.
b) Highlight the impact of Mama Cash's approach for feminist activism to broad and new audiences, including existing and potential donors.
c) Support Mama Cash in communicating the impact in a visually appealing, accessible, and innovative way.
Deliverables
The consultants are expected to deliver:
An impact study plan that articulates the overall requirements of the TOR, including proposed approach, methodology, work plan with clear timelines and division of labour where necessary.
Regular short progress reports on the implementation of the tasks defined in the TOR, including some preliminary reporting on the progress made, as well as findings, to the project team at Mama Cash.
A draft and final impact study report that is accessible to people with disabilities and which can be used as a communication product.
Support in the creation of an online, interactive component that includes video and illustrated content.
b.Work plan:
The impact study is expected to start by August 2023 and a draft is expected to be completed by 22 December 2023.In the first quarter of 2024, the product(s) will be finalized and launched. The following milestones are expected to be included in the workplan:
An inception report, outlining the final agreed approach, scope of work, timelines, any tools that will be used during the project.
Report(s)to showcase Mama Cash’s impact and that of women’s funds and movements. Presentations and debriefs with Mama Cash staff and other relevant audiences (e.g. donors) at different stages (e.g. to share preliminary findings; to explain final findings and methodology, etc).
