The Equality Now Global Content and Digital Production Manager is a production conduit for key content projects relating to program, development and operational departments and the coordination of our editorial calendar, working with the rest of the communications team to ensure our output is planned, best in class, complementary and optimized. Equality Now is a busy, global organization and so this role requires a highly organized, ambitious, pragmatic and astute individual, who can work with multiple stakeholders on multiple projects at one time. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a new digital strategy for the organization.
The role is an interim position to cover the six month absence of the Global Head of Digital and Production and has line management of two content production roles.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Digital Strategy: 15%
- Contribute to the development of a Digital Strategy - which will be led by the current postholder compelling and collaborative strategy for how we will use digital to increase our impact for women and girls across the world, including recruitment and stewardship of professionals, advocacy goals and sharing our expertise and resources. This includes using the website, email, SMS and social channels (particularly Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin). As part of this strategy ensure a clear supporter journey is in place across all digital channels and audiences are engaged with online.
Website: 15%
- Oversee the maintenance and continuous improvement of the website, ensuring it:
- Takes a user-centered approach that makes it easy for people to make donations, take action on our campaigns, and find out about what we do.
- Extends its reach through continuously optimizing website content and identifying website content needs.
Brand: 15%
- Working with the Communications Director and to build and maintain brand guidelines, key messaging and brand template assets and ensure they are embedded across the organization and within all digital communications.
- Ensure all digital communication output is brand compliant, inclusive through language, imagery etc. and is accessible to varied audiences, including ensuring accessibility, the use of plain English and other languages where appropriate.
Production Coordination + Editorial Calendar across channels: 30%
- Overseeing and responsibly expanding Equality Now’s social media activity across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn via our Editorial Calendar. Working with comms staff and suppliers to ensure content is balanced, complementary, purposeful and quality.
- Act as a internal production hub for big content pieces such as reports and major publications
- Ensure the Development team are aware of upcoming opportunities for supporter/donor engagement
Data: 25%
- Work closely with the Development team to manage Raisers Edge and Mailchimp and compliance: Ensuring that the data is usable, segmented, analyzed and maintained in accordance with compliance needs, to ensure optimum retention and action by existing supporters. This will be done in conjunction with the Supporter Acquisition and Individual Giving Team.
